About the work

My grandad, Tom Hurney, from Galway, was a firm believer in the benevolent, magical properties of hen’s eggshells to ward off bad tidings, and I made these with him in mind.

About the artist

“Laura Ní Fhlaibhín completed her MFA at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2019. She is the recipient of Arts Council of Ireland Next Generation Bursary 2020.”
